Through ACCENT, Strategic Communications will help modernize the Army’s IT Environment
Louisville, KY: 3/20/2018 – Strategic Communications, an IT services provider headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, was named a contract holder for the Army’s ACCENT contract. ACCENT stands for Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transformation, and is part of the Army’s CHESS contract. The contract is an integral part of modernizing and transforming the US Army’s IT environment through cloud services. ACCENT runs until February 2020, with a maximum ceiling of $247,700,000.00.

About ACCENT
The Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transformation (ACCENT) contract is a two-year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to procure cloud services for the US Army. The contract provides a catalyst for moving designated Information Technology applications, systems, and associated data to the commercial cloud. ACCENT allows Army application and mission owners to obtain cloud transition support services and commercial cloud hosting services. In addition, ACCENT plays a significant part in the Army Data Center Consolidation Plan (ADCCP).
