Upcoming Holidays, & Events
National High Five Day – Celebrated each year on the third Thursday in April, this is a day to spread some positive energy by giving a “high five” to everyone you encounter. It’s not certain where the high five first originated but one of the most well-known dates back to a 1977 Dodgers game. During a Dusty Baker home run that made the team the first in history with four players scoring 30 regular-season home runs, Baker rounded third base and was greeted by his teammate Glenn Burke with a victory high five.
Administrative Professionals Week – Celebrated the last full week of April each year, this is the time to recognize your support professionals. The origins date back to 1952, originally labeled as “National Secretaries Week”. The name later changed in the early 2000s to recognize the wide variety of administrative personnel. During this week, remember that our admins are the backbone of the organization. Give them praise and treat them with respect as they truly deserve it.
Inspirational Quote of The Month

Employees of the Month
Alexis McDonald – “Alexis is always ahead of the game and doesn’t hesitate to reach out and help the team! Her attention to detail and ability to track multiple streams makes her an invaluable asset, and she’s always willing to help wherever things are hardest!” – Neal Heumann
Sam Deckel – “Sam went above and beyond for Maryland Innovation Day with AWS. This event went extremely well, and most of that success is solely focused on Sam’s efforts to make sure everything went smoothly logistically in the weeks leading up to and the day of the event. I greatly appreciate his professionalism and preparation, and I’m sure all in attendance appreciated it as well. Thank you, Sam, and to all that had a hand in helping!” – Andrew Smith
Wyatt Phelps – “Wyatt asked to be assigned to perform a conference room install by himself. This was to be installed in Washington state. We sent him with a tight travel timeline. Wyatt knocked it out of the park!!! This is only the second time Wyatt has flown and the first time he installed the system on his own. There were no issues when the customer had to integrate with their own network, and all was happy. GREAT JOB Wyatt!” – Brian Walls
