Adam Yocom | Logistics Admin
• How long have you worked for Strategic Communications?
I have been with Strategic since April of 2023
• What was your background prior to working for Strategic Communications?
I worked for a logistics company for a little over 2 and a half years
• What aspect of your job do you find most rewarding or fulfilling?
I love how this company works not only as a team, but as a family. Anyone at anytime is willing to help out and/or listen to one another, and that is very rare in todays workforce.
• What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
Stay consistent, ask questions, and show accountability for your actions
• Outside of work, what are you passionate about/enjoy doing?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids. Watching our kids grow is like nothing else you will ever experience.
• What is your current favorite TV Show, Podcast, or Book that you’d like to share with the world?
Well…..I don’t get to watch a whole lot of TV because we have a 5 year old that loves Bluey, Big City Greens, and all kinds of Disney movies! So, I guess its fair to say those are my favorites!
• What is something that people may not know about you?
Fun fact, I was diagnosed with cancer in 2022 and kicked its butt! I also have a rare condition called Adrenal insufficiency, also known as Addison’s disease(not so fun, but I live with it) Fun experience : I was an extra in a Hallmark movie in 2018 called My Daughter Vanished.

• How long have you worked for Strategic Communications?
I joined the team in October of 2023 to develop and build Strategic’s Partner Alliance Community (PAC).
• What is your favorite project that you’ve worked on at Strategic?
Standing up the PAC webinars and the JPS CoSell Partner Program
• What does your dream vacation look like?
Beach, sun, and a margarita while watching my kids play in the sand!
• Who is your favorite musical artist, and what was the first concert you attended?
My favorite artist is Morgan Wallen, but I enjoy most genres of music. My first concert was NSYC! Hard to believe they are old pop music now ☹
• How would your family, friends, or coworkers describe you in three words?
Passionate, caring, and probably equally a bit crazy
• What is your current favorite TV Show, Podcast, or Book that you’d like to share with the world?
With my kids being so little, I don’t get a lot of me time, but when I do- I like to binge watch old episodes of Modern Family!
Rebecca Conklin | Technology Project Manager
• How long have you worked for Strategic Communications?
1 year and 1 month! It still feels like I just started though; time flies when you’re having fun!
• What was your background prior to working for Strategic Communications?
Prior to joining Strategic, I spent 6 to 7 years in the UCaaS sector managing large client installs. I had a sprinkle of time in between where I managed software development implementations as well.
• What aspect of your job do you find most rewarding or fulfilling?
It has been truly amazing to see the growth of our PMO this past year, and I am thankful to have been given the opportunity to help the overall adoption of it across the organization.
• What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
A wise mentor once told me that your greatest challenges are your greatest learning opportunities and that has absolutely held true over the years. If you continue to put one front in front of the other, no matter the outcome, you will succeed. The only time you really fail is when you don’t learn from your mistakes.
• Outside of work, what are you passionate about/enjoy doing?
Fitness is a huge part of my everyday life and something I have been passionate about for the last several years. If you can’t find me at the gym, you will most likely find me at the ice hockey rink cheering on my 14 yr old son who is a defenseman for his house league; GO CYCLONES!
• What is your current favorite TV Show, Podcast, or Book that you’d like to share with the world?
I am currently watching “Paradise” on Hulu starring Sterling K. Brown and James Marsden. It gets my anxiety going but in the best way! For books I always recommend “Atomic Habits”. It is one of the best books I’ve ever read in the self-help category. In the Fantasy genre I am currently reading The Empyrean series by Rebecca Yarros and it’s a 10/10! I listen to a lot of True Crime Podcasts and my favorite has to be “Up and Vanished” by Payne Lindsay.
• What is something that people may not know about you?
My husband and I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat!
