Strategic Communications hosted a 2023 National Sales Kickoff at our Louisville, KY Headquarters to celebrate a successful year for the company. The multi-day event kicked off in full on 1/23/2023, with the first two days focused on our rapidly growing cloud sales vertical. Monday’s activities were led and sponsored by Ingram Micro, our exclusive procurement partner for all things AWS and Azure. This included an executive track where our go-to-market and business strategies were mapped for the upcoming year, as well as a sales enablement track designed to better equip our cloud sales team with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed.
As previously mentioned Tuesday was also heavily focused on our cloud vertical, with AWS coming in and sponsoring that day’s activities. This included a sales enablement lunch & learn where the team was able to further build on our strong partnership with AWS and cover any potential pain points or questions around future endeavors. The cloud portion of the Sales Kickoff was capped with a happy hour at Brick House, and a dinner at Jack Fry’s sponsored by AWS.
Wednesday is when the SKO really picked up steam. With the full sales team in attendance, leadership lead multiple sessions devoted to reviewing key metrics and goals from the previous fiscal year. Strategic’s leadership also shared updates and metrics relating to current go-to-market strategies for the current year, as well as sales strategies for the upcoming 2022. After the planning session, the team participated in an engaging Lunch & Learn event sponsored by Planar. The session was a great opportunity to discover new additions to the Planar product catalog, as well as a chance to collaborate on go-to-market strategies for 2023. After the business discussions, the remainder of the day was dedicated to team bonding and celebrating a great year. This included a trip to Top Golf sponsored by Panduit & General Cable and a dinner at Malone’s provided by Graybar.
Thursday, January 26, signaled the final day of the sales conference with an agenda full of individual partner sessions. This day began with a session hosted by Tech Data that gave Strategic’s team the opportunity to build a closer partnership with the distributor, and also collaborate on potential business opportunities for the future. Next up was Poly, who took the time to cover their new catalog including several new TAA-compliant offerings. The following session was a Lunch & Learn sponsored by Almo that included a Q&A to allow the sales team to answer any outstanding procurement-focused questions. To end the day, the team was treated to a happy hour at Merle’s Whiskey Kitchen sponsored by Accu-Tech, and a Dinner at Guacamole sponsored by LeGrand. Both outings offered the team a chance to have some fun, bond with one another, and grow business relationships with vendor partners in attendance.
